We started the morning with a visit to the temple of Kom Ombo. This is the site of a very unusual double temple dedicated to the gods Sobek, depicted as a crocodile-headed man, and Haroeris, a manifestation of Horus, represented as a falcon-headed man. This temple is unique because of its duality. There are two of everything so that services could be held for the two gods at the same time. On the site is a chapel that contains two crocodile mummies.
