We flew from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego, where we boarded the Legend of the Seas, a sister ship to the Enchantment of the Seas. The ship did not depart until about 10:00 PM, before which we were treated to a parade through San Diego harbor of boats decorated for Christmas. After a “sea day,” our first stop was Cabo San Lucas at the tip of Baja California. The end of the peninsula has some spectacular rock formations. The Legend anchored in the bay and we tendered ashore for a kayaking adventure (that’s not us; our boat was, of course, blue).
