St George’s Castle on the hill. Sunday – After 3 days of running around, it was good to have another day of leisure. By now I’m definitely sick of all the food – you’d think maybe I could stop eating, wouldn’t you? Monday – Our last port of call. Unfortunately, it’s also our only day of bad weather. We stopped in Ponta Delgado, Azores. It was too rainy and foggy all day to see many sites. This is a lovely, lush tropical island. We spent a couple of hours in the afternoon wandering the town – without the camera. Tuesday – Saturday Time to cross the Atlantic. In case you’re wondering, it does get a little bit rough, especially when you’re going around a hurricane, but it didn’t bother us particularly. It was also a bit cool in September, but this was a great time to sleep late and relax with a book and a cold one. We ended up in Boston with a short flight home. Back to reality and diets … and planning the next vacation.
