In the evening, we attended a folklore show with music and dancing from Paraguay, Argentina and Brasil – a lot of fun.
Dec 1 – In the morning, we opted for adventure. We took a trip through the jungle, partly by jeep, partly by foot, and then ended up on a wild boat ride up the river into the falls. Now that was a fun way to see the falls!
We had an afternoon flight back to Rio and then onto the ship, the MS Amsterdam. We got on board about ½ hour before dinner time – just enough time to unpack and then head to the dining room. After dinner, we walked around the ship a bit, but were pretty much ready to collapse into bed.
Dec 2 – One more day in Rio. We grabbed a cab with a couple of friends and headed up Corcovado and the Christ the Redeemer monument.
