We left Miami on Sunday evening, arriving late morning at Heathrow. After about an 8 hour layover, we were finally on our way to Istanbul and checked into our hotel just after midnight, early Tuesday morning. Well, this helped eliminate any problem we might have with jet lag! We only had one day in Istanbul, so we wanted to see something new. We grabbed a cab and went to tour the Dolmabache Palace. This was the palace of the last of the sultans.
